Installed last of the 4 chronotic harvesters the council had sent me to the TARDIS's recovery cabinet. Monitoring reported 30% recovery of the time router asssembly. With the input from the harvesters I'm hoping the recovery rate to increase significantly but I'm not expecting to be lifting off for another week.
Romana sent me the last surface scans the council had of the Earth's temporal activity. There definitely was a shift from Cardiff westwards which would explain the decrease of the TARDIS's recovery rate over the past year. In any case it seems the council was right about a new temporal focus forming. And though the council's only concern was the retrieval of the Hand of Infinity my mind is on the "why". Cardiff has always been the Earth's temporal north pole so you can imagine my concern when the shift in temporal activity is on the magnitude of having Santa Claus taking up residence in Naples, Italy..
Which brings me back to the TARDIS. What is a timelord's worth with out his time capsule? My silent companion over the ages had met ill fate hurtling through the continuum with Romana's captors in relentless pursuit. Our harrowing journey had stripped the TARDIS down to the time router. Even then I was forced to use the time router assembly as a weapon against our pursuers which fortunately worked but had reduced my time capsule to ruin. Over the denouement of activity in the months following I salvaged the recovery system which to my surprise and relief was already reconstructing the time router on the background temporal energies it could leech when I found it.
I suppose it is good fortune that the wheels of bureaucracy have decided there was a need to restore the TARDIS. Perhaps when all this movement stops and I do get to the bottom of the temporal pole shift I could use a random trip off Earth. Perhaps this time Romana could be convinced in coming along..
